SHRED IT! is a unisex stranded sock pattern that is knit top-down. The cast on is a stretchy, decorative Estonian version of the Double Start Cast On. A tutorial is shared, as are chart notations, to aid those new to jacquard ladders with background on how to manage long floats. Mirrored charts are available for the three sizes and guidance is provided for motivated intermediate knitters who might be considering a first experience knitting from a gusset chart. An optional alternative method of picking up gusset stitches that results in a good fitting heel is suggested. A faux inlay is knit into the sole to add novelty. Opportunities are available for confident knitters to experiment with color dominance. Both experienced intermediate and advanced level knitters will find the sock motivating to knit, easier than it appears, and hopefully will have a chance to try out a new technique or two.
