These mitts start in the round then switch to an intarsia color work pattern that’s worked flat but seamed as you go by decreasing into a yarn over that’s made at the start of each row. This pattern includes color work charts that print well in black and white as well as written instructions for the color work. Though only one size is included other sizes can be made by changing the gauge or weight of the yarn.

This pattern includes charts but also has the charts written out

MATERIALS NEEDED

CC - The Fibre Company Road to China Light sport weight, 65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere; 159 yds per 50g skein; color: river stone; 1 skein; total used: 28 yds

1 set US size 1 (2.25 mm) DPNs, or 2 sizes (1.0 mm) smaller than larger needles

Stitch holder

Errata

In the Right Mitt pattern sections under Right Thumb it says: “Place the 18 sts from stitch holder onto smaller needles, knit these stitches then pick up and knit 4 sts from side of glove”. It should say: “Place the 16 sts from stitch holder onto smaller needles”, so after picking up the 4 sts you’ll have 20 sts total.

Also, in the Left Mitt section where it says Right Thumb it should say “Left Thumb”. It otherwise has the same errata as the right glove.
