Beyond the Pattern….This skirt, knit from side-to-side with short row shaping, was inspired by the yarn, Kauni Effektgarn. The long color repeats work well with the short rows. To reduce bulk at the join, a provisional cast and kitchener stitch is used instead of a seam. The waistband is garter stitch on the front and stockinette stitch on the inside. Since this skirt is knit from side to side, it is easy to alter it for different sizes. Simply knit fewer or more rows.
