Sideways Gansey Style Mittens
by Terry Morris
First you knit an easy 2-needle fingerless mitt. Then add the tops of the hand and the thumb in the round. Voila - mittens!
The textured patterning is created with simply knits and purls in these warm mitts knit flat on 2 needles. To top of your mitts for a full mitten, stitches are picked up along the edges and worked in the round to the tip of the thumb and hand. Instructions are given in both the line-by-line written method and charts. You choose whichever method you prefer.
aka Mystery Mittens
