Inspired by a love of traditional winding cables and thick cozy hats, this beanie was designed to allow ample space for an intricate cable panel to run free across its surface.

Sidewinder is a slouchy beanie with a wide cabled panel for a brim. To begin the beanie, the cabled panel is knit flat, then its ends are joined to form the brim’s circumference. Stitches are picked up around the top edge of the brim and knit upward in the round to form the slouchy top of the hat. Stich pattern is both written and charted.
