Sien is a delicate pair of mitts knitted up in a blend of fibers that looks and feels luxurious. The stitch pattern is modern and elegant, and calls for simple 2 stitch cables, catering to both experienced knitters and adventurous beginners.

They are are worked bottom up, starting with a half twisted rib cuff.
The back of the hand features a cable pattern against a background of reverse stockinette stitch, and the palm is knitted in reverse stockinette only.

The cables are simple 1x1 cables, so if you have some cable knitting experience it will be a breeze ;) Increases are worked for the thumbs, which are knitted in reverse stockinette and finished off with half twisted rib.

Instructions for the cable pattern are both charted and written out - use what you are most comfortable with.
