• Play about with various colour combinations - you could even do each section in various colours, making this a super effective stash buster. There is a colouring sheet included to help you plan your shawl.
• While the yarn the shawl was designed in is qualified as an “aran” weight, it is still quite unique. If you wish a fuzzy yarn similar to the DROPS Brushed Baby Alpaca Silk, try Debbie Bliss Angel or Rowan Kidsilk Haze held double (double the yardage for the Kidsilk Haze as it must be held double).
• Light worsted and worsted weight yarn is a fantastic substitute, requiring about 600 - 700 yards.
