These are elbow-length fingerless mitts for women, with a thumb gusset and decreases from the elbow to the wrist. With one skein of the Misti Yarn, you can make them a few inches longer, if you want a really dramatic look.
I also made a pair in Cascade Ultra Pima, which works beautifully, and I used up the entire skein of 220 yards.
