Silky, Simone & Sidney designed by Barbara Prime
Seals are adorable creatures, and very different from the toys Barbara usually designs. She enjoyed the challenge of figuring out the flippers and the shape of the body and face. A soft, slightly shiny yarn gives a sense of smooth, wet skin and fur. Silky the Seal and Sidney the Merboy are suitable for ages 3 and up. Simone the Mermaid is suitable for ages 8 and up.

Yarn Berroco Modern Cotton (60% pima cotton, 40% modal rayon; 209 yd 191 m/3 ½ oz 100 g): #1611 rocky point (brown; MC), #1608 gadwall (gray; CC1), and #1601 sandy point (cream; CC2), 1 skein each. Girl: #1628 iggy (orange; CC3), 1 skein. Boy: #1626 mackerel (lt green; CC3), 1 skein.
Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): straight. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Removable markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; 10.5 mm safety eyes; polyester fiberfill; pink embroidery floss; girl only: two small hair elastics.
