Cozy and warm mittens with a simple lace panel on the front. The mitts are worked with mohair and fingering weight yarn held together. A double start cast on is used to make a perfectly stretchy cuff with a garter stitch band instead of a traditional ribbed cuff. The lace pattern is worked for a few rows before starting the thumb gusset to allow for a longer and cozier mitten. The thumb is picked up and worked after the body of the mitten is completed. The top of the mitten and thumb also has a garter stitch band.
