Wonderfully squishy cables and all over texture make Silver Birch irresistible and cozy. The knitting is both simple and enjoyable as you move through the various textures. A boxy fit is created by a modified drop shoulder construction. Folded neckband and cuffs add to the overall coziness.
Silver Birch was designed to be enjoyable and simple to knit. Moving through the different textures and cables makes Silver Birch irresistible to knit. The cable charts are all on one page, the same number of rows, and very easy to follow. If you have never read a cable chart before, see the TUTORIALS section at the bottom of this pattern listing for a tutorial.
Silver Birch is worked bottom up in the round until the underarm. The front and back are worked flat. Shoulders are joined using the three-needle bind off (see TUTORIALS down below for a tutorial) for a strong and easy to work join. Sleeves are picked up around the armhole and worked top down.
