I started teaching Beginning Crochet at my LYS in November 2011, and needed two simple patterns so I could teach my students how to read a pattern and to use the stitches learned in class.

If you want a warmer scarf, stitch it in a worsted weight yarn. One skein of Comfort makes a pretty long scarf - one that can be looped a couple times.

As an option, choose a fingering or sock yarn and make the perfect Spring or Summer scarf.
