Simple Messy Bun Hat
Here’s a great beginner pattern to get into the messy bun hat world, which has taken social media by storm lately. This hat is worked with two colours and a simple repeat, alternating to add some contrast and interest. Sizing is easily adjusted as desired.
I wanted to design a messy bun hat that had some interest to it, but was still very beginner friendly. This hat is just that - it has some texture and striping, but all using basic stitches. It’s fast and easy to work up, forgiving, and easy to customize. Using a variegated or gradient yarn as the contrast colour will make each hat a unique piece!
Testers found this to be a beginner pattern - something great for TV crafting or on-the-go. Looking for a quick gift? Whip up a fitted beanie for a running friend who wants to keep their ears warm in the chill weather! Or for a constantly running out the door type who just wants to throw something on and look fabulous.
