This is a simple ribbed hat in a range of sizes which can be made in any DK yarn. It is stretchy so will be forgiving if you are unsure about size. You can make it with or without a button, bobble or tassel. You can jazz it up with stripes broad or narrow, use variegated yarn or anything else you fancy. The hat is designed to be worn with the brim folded back to keep your ears warm. You can fold the brim as much as you like to wear your hat slouchy or close fitting, or make the hat shorter and leave the folded brim off.

This is a simple hat which is suitable for beginners. I have included a tubular cast-on which looks very impressive and appears to the casual observer to be physically impossible - but is not at all. It can be a little bit fiddly and if you prefer to just use a standard cast-on that is fine.

To fit head circumference of approx 34[39, 44, 48.5] {53.5, 58.5, 63.5} cm 13.25[15.25, 17.25, 19] {21, 23, 25} inches.
