simple WPI toque
All previous, current & future proceeds for this pattern will be donated to Covenant House here in Vancouver, BC. Thank you.
For many handspinners out there, skeins of yarn end up in our stashes without a project and so our gorgeous yarns are stored for many months and years. Sometimes, it is because we aren’t completely sure about the gauge to knit it up on and finding a pattern can sometimes feel daunting.
What if we had a simple toque pattern with a wraps per inch tool to guide us? Look no further. Provided is a universal Wraps per Inch (WPI) chart that most yarn companies follow. I have simplified to and given the wraps per inch first to guide you towards which weight of yarn your beautiful handspun is, along with the knitting gauge to achieve and the recommended needle sizes (of course, checking your gauge and adjusting your needle size is very individual and it is highly recommended to swatch).
