Simply Mad Throw
This pattern is simple and adaptable. Size and colors are within pattern are recommendations to make the blanket in the picture but there are instructions to adapt the pattern to your own color taste and preferred size.
The body of the blanket is worked with TWO STRANDS of yarn, making it very thick and extremely warm.
The sample was made with Red Heart, Anne Geddes. This yarn created a very cushioned result when double stranded and would make a great floor blanket for playing crawlers, a wonderful seat blanket for outdoor events or a cozy lap blanket for anytime!
This project focuses mainly on color change and color combinations to give it an intricate beyond beginner feel while remaining accessible to any crocheter! Inspired from Mexican folk art the color changes are fun to watch as you work and each new addition of color brings more life and vibrance to the project.
The edging is worked in high contrast black and white for a showing finish.
The pattern is simple to modify to any size as well. I hope you enjoy this throw and dare to make one yourself. Enjoy!
NOTE ABOUT YARDAGE
It is difficult to determine yardage since you are using small amounts of many different colors. I used approximately 1 skein of each color in the blanket. I used hardly any black or white since it is just in the edging.
There are nine colors, plus black and white in this throw.
