The Sindri Cowl is a highly textured, cabled cowl that is perfect for snuggling into during the first days of Autumn! 2/2 cables feature heavily in this design combined with twisted stitch hexagons and a bit of garter-stitch to round out the patterning. There are 2 patterning options available and instructions for both are fully charted as well as written out.
The cowl begins with a provisional cast-on (tutorial instructions included) and proceeds into the patterning (worked flat) which is repeated until fabric measures at least 20” (50 cm). The pattern can be worked until about 3 yds (3 m) of yarn remains if you would like a longer cowl, though. The ends are then grafted together to form the cowl. I’ll be posting tutorials and tips for cableing throughout September so don’t worry if you are a cable-newbie! This is actually a really addictive pattern & because the cables aren’t very large, you’ll get lots of practice without having to manage too many stitches at once.
