Small: 25 sts and 32 rounds to 10cm / 4in over stranded colourwork using gauge-size needle (blocked). Use 3.5mm needle as a starting point for swatching
Medium: 23 sts and 30 rounds to 10cm / 4in over stranded colourwork using gauge-size needle (blocked). Use 4mm needle as a starting point for swatching
Check your gauge, especially if yours tends to tighten when working stranded colourwork.
Size
Small: to fit head with 50-52cm / 19½-20½in circumference
Medium: to fit head with 53-56cm / 21-22in circumference
Be sure to check your gauge, and block finished hat appropriately.
