The Knits That Breathe ebook is available for purchase and instant download now from Ravelry. Or, order the paperback version from Amazon, your LYS, or on my website.
Sometimes you need a dressed-up evening top that still feels effortless. And what could be more alluring than a breezy silk and linen top that features open shoulders, feminine lace, and subtle beading? Although its sophisticated appearance would suggest otherwise, minimal shaping and easy lace pair with ridiculously short seams to make it a surprisingly quick knit.
Some may decide that the discreet shimmer of beads at the lace hem is gilding the lily, and should feel free to omit them. Worn with a long skirt or silk pants over a slinky camisole, Sirena will earn its place at the front of your closet.
Pattern Notes
Sirena’s lace hem is worked in two separate pieces to allow for side slits. Both halves are then joined to work in the round to the armholes. The work is separated to cast on stitches for the sleeves. The top’s front and back are worked back and forth in two separate pieces up to the shoulders. The only seams are the underside of the sleeves and the shoulder/sleeve edges.
Errata:
