TO CREATE this feminine jumper, the stranded colourwork panels for the front and back are worked first, which are then joined at the shoulders. Next, stitches are picked up along the edges of the panels, and the sides of the jumper are knitted in stocking stitch with garter stitch ridges. The neckline is finished with a few rows in garter stitch. Nadya Stallings’ design calls for Rowan’s aran-weight Hemp Tweed, which has a firm handle yet feels smooth and soft. It comes in 17 warm, tweedy colours.
