Sitka Spruce - by Tin Can Knits
The temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest are
home to many species of evergreen, including the sitka spruce. Walking here you can hug the big trees, smell the moss and damp earth, and listen as the ancient trees whisper to one another. The light that filters down through the canopy far above is green and magical.
The twisted stitch pattern that adorns the hat and mittens is elegant and geometrical. The pattern includes instructions for a snug beanie and a slouchier beret style hat.
