Six-Toed Cable Snood
This snood, briefly shown in the stitch library in Knitty Gritty - The Next Steps has proved to be one of the most popular items in the book! The snood is shown in the book as an example of what can be knitted using Six-Toed Cable rather than a fully written pattern and I’ve had several requests asking for the pattern in a more traditional format. So here it is!
This cosy snood is perfect for the advanced beginner knitter to stretch their cable skills; and even for more advanced knitters as a quick-knit gift. Knitted in super bulky yarn (I use that amazing classic Rowan Big Wool) it knits up satisfyingly quickly and is a stylish addition to anyone’s Winter wardrobe.
Unlike a lot of snood patterns this is knitted flat on two needles rather than in the round so it’s a great pattern if you haven’t yet mastered your circular knitting.
