Skelligs is named after the beautiful little rugged islands off the south west coast of Ireland. Great Skellig and Little Skellig are amongst the most beautiful places I’ve hiked in the world (It’s also the place where the latest Star Wars movies were filmed!). Check out my blog about the 800 or so steps that I climbed up to the island’s ancient Monastery. It’s a sheer drop to the Atlantic Ocean with nothing to protect you!

This twisted rib and reverse stocking stitch slouchy beanie comes in two sizes: Small and Medium - Large. It is knit in the round using the fabulous Irish Green Elephant merino aran yarn. The peaking twisted ribs echo the soaring cliffs and rugged shards of sandstone that jut out from all angles on these Islands. For photos of this truly amazing place, see my blog post Stairway to Heaven.
