Skipper
Skipper is one of 16 glorious designs in Stranded Knits, a superb technique manual and pattern collection that Ann created for Rowan Yarns.
The cardigan is knitted from the bottom up in rounds, starting with a picot hem. The front opening and armholes are steeked. The sleeves are knitted from the top down with short row shaping for the sleevecaps.
The book includes illustrated tutorials for stranded colourwork, steeking, short rows, i-cord and i-cord buttonholes.
The tension given above is for the stranded colourwork after blocking. Tension/gauge for the sleeves is 26 stitches and 36 rows/rounds per 10cm/4” after blocking.
Please note that the neck drop measurements given with the blocking diagram include 1.5 to 2 inches of length from the shoulder shaping above the armholes.
