Skogen - Bohus Inspired
Skogen (Forest) is a pattern card recipe for a pullover. Skogen was designed by Kerstin Olsson for Bohus some time in the 1960s. A photo of an original pattern card is shown here; there is also a different design called Gröna Skogen (Green Forest) by Anna-Lisa Mannheimer Lunn. 8 shades of greens and one background color are used in Skogen. Other pattern cards or test samples may be available to view on the Bohus Stickning section of the DigitaltMuseum.
Projects knitted using the Skogen pattern card are Bohus Stickning inspired projects. They cannot be called “Bohus Stickning” projects, as they do not meet following 3 criteria: they must be knitted in the colors re-created by Solveig Gustafsson and/or Pernille Silfverberg based on the original Bohus Stickning colour cards, they must be knitted in the required quality of the yarn (lace, 2ply, angora/merino 600m/100g or Lambswool 450m/100g and of course they must be knitted fully using a Bohus Stickning pattern.
