Skogstjerne er en klassisk kofte med inspirasjon fra norsk håndverkstradisjon. Mønsterbordene er inspirert av svartsøm, en dekorativ broderiteknikk som brukes på enkelte norske bunadskjorter.

Koften strikkes nedenfra og opp med raglanfelling og oppklipp foran. Bol og ermer strikkes hver for seg før de settes sammen til bærestykket. Knappestolpene strikkes fast til forstykkene underveis, og halskanten strikkes til slutt.

Skogstjerne – Starflower Cardigan is a classic Norwegian cardigan inspired by traditional Norwegian textile arts. The decorative colorwork borders are inspired by blackwork embroidery found on some Norwegian folk costume shirts.

The cardigan is worked from the bottom up with raglan shaping and a steeked front opening. The body and sleeves are worked separately and then joined for the yoke. The button bands are worked directly onto the fronts as you knit them, and the neckband is added last.

The pattern includes charts and is written using both metric and imperial measurements.
