Colorwork is such a joy to knit. This design features a lovely leaf design just above the double ribbing and then transitions into an all-over blue/green geometric design. When knitting sweaters for siblings it is fun to change the colors so that everyone has a similar sweater but very much their own. Skye is knit circularly and incorporates steeks in the front and armhole areas which are not included in stitch count. I generally use 7 steek stitches, but some knitters feel more comfortable with as many as 14. As always, when knitting for children, it is a good idea to knit sizes they can grow into.
