Skill Level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate

Materials:

• Lion Brand Wool Ease or similar Worsted Weight CYC #4 yarn in three colors (Two skeins A, one skein B and C) 197 yards each

• Size G+, 4.5mm Crochet Hook

• Darning Needle

Gauge: 14 stitches X 12 rows = 4” square
Stitch used for gauge: Herringbone Half Double Crochet

Stitches Used and Abbreviations:

• Foundation Half Double Crochet - FHDC

• Herringbone Half Double Crochet – HBHDC

• Half Double Crochet - HDC

• Front Post Ridge Stitch (See pattern)

• Slip Stitch

Size(s): One Size

Measurement(s): Before sewing the hat should be about 13 inches wide and 20 inches long.

Important Notes:

• You will be working back and forth for the majority of the hat. Once you finish the main body, you will sew the ends together and then add the brim and close the top.
