The project uses the slip stitch technique which is a great way of incorporating colour work in to your knitting in a simple way. You only ever use one shade of yarn on a row and simply Knit, Purl or slip stitches to create the effect.

This is a shoulder bag which is great for carrying around your knit projects. You can also make it more suitable for carrying heavier items by adding a fabric lining. I also added in some elastic inside the rib opening.

The yarn used is Rowan Felted tweed which is a mix of 50% merino wool, 25% alpaca and 25% viscose and can be washed in the machine on a cool delicate wash (please follow ball band instructions). This yarn is a firm favourite with knitters and crocheters alike, great to use with it’s soft tweedy texture and also a performs well for years to come.
The project uses 5 different shades.
Number of balls needed for the project
1 x 150 Rage
1 x 193 Cumin
1 x 152 Watery
1 x 151 Bilberry
1 x 154 Ginger

This bag has an approximate finished measurement of 36 cm x 42 cm.
