Slouch Shells Beanie with Ribbed Edge
A series of crochet shell clusters or fans make up the main body of this slouchy and stylish hat. The hat is crocheted from the bottom up, working a band for the edge of the hat first. The hat is then sewn up at the crown in the final step.
It can be made in any worsted weight yarn (about 175 yards) with a size I9 crochet hook. The orange hat in the photos was made from one skein of Cascade 220 yarn in the colorway California Poppy.
The hat in the fourth photo was made from a skein of Malabrigo Rios yarn in the colorway Pocion.
