Slow Wave Blanket
Based on the popular Slow Wave Infinity Scarf, this blanket is named after the deepest, most restful part of our sleep. Like the Slow Wave Infinity Scarf, this pattern is based on a 6 row repeat, making it easy to follow and memorise.
This blanket is made using an ever-expanding repeatable pattern, so it can be made using virtually any yarn and hook combination. The pattern can be followed to make a 5-sided pentagon-shaped blanket, you can make a square blanket by simply omitting one pattern repeat.
The 3 photographed examples are made using using the following yarn
1 X 200g Garn Manufaktur Lola in the colour “Anna”, purchased from Yarnish.com.au
1 X 200g Garn Manufaktur Lola in a custom colour.
1 X 200g Garn Manufaktur Mclana bobbel in colour number 3803.
The finished dimensions of the photographed blankets are approximately 78cm across/50cm along each edge making it an ideal baby blanket, pet blanket, or decorative throw.
This pattern is suitable for a confident beginner, with photos and a chart included for additional support.
Stitches used (US crochet terms are used throughout):
MR - magic ring
SS - slip stitch
Ch - chain
Sc - single crochet
