For snake-lovers and Harry Potter fans everywhere.

Knitted top down: starts with a very easy garter stitch base (all rows are the same) and then you make the snakes.

The snakes were adapted from Tiny Owl Knits Parseltongue hat, with Stephanie’s kind permission. Charting them made me realise how clever the hat pattern is ♥

ERRATA/CLARIFICATION - in rows 11 and 17 kb stands for knit and bead.

Setting up the snakes - if you count all the stitches you need a multiple of 10 + 4. If you count from 50 stitches to the end you only need a multiple of 10.
