Have you tried triangle interlocking crochet? This fun scarf, with repeating snowflakes down the center, is created with interlocking nets of triangles and lots of floating vertical and diagonal stitches. The scarf also begins with a picot foundation that leaves the two layers open at the ends. This scarf is one of two patterns included in the Triangulated Snowflake Scarves pattern set.

A support video is provided to show you how to start out with the picot foundation as well as the set-up rows, which can be watched here: https://youtu.be/glqb6hBWSmk

If you haven’t tried triangle interlocking crochet yet, you can learn how on my YouTube channel with this two-part tutorial for the Snowflake Snowflake! motif:
