Smart Cardigan
Worked from cuff edge to cuff edge, then after joining side and underarm seams, stitches are picked up along the bottom and knit in rib to form a deep welt. A separate band with buttonholes on one side is knit separately and sewn in position.
Pattern in called Smart in Stitchcraft (pattern and illustration both on page 15)
One size. Uses 8 oz. of yarn.
