MATERIALS: 9 oz. 3-ply wool, a pair a, No. 6 knitting needles, and five large wooden buttons.

MEASUREMENTS: Length from shoulder to lower edge, 17½ inches. Width all round under arms, when fastened, 34 inches. Length of sleeve seam, 3½ inches.

Note: Always knit into the backs of all cast-on sts to produce firm edges. 9.oz of 3-ply required (old terminology)

Tension: 4 stitches to 1 inch in width, and 11 rows to 2 inches in depth.
