This is a PDF pattern in UK and US terminology with written instructions and step by step colour photographs, to make this Smiley Square.

This square could be used as part of a cushion, blanket, garment, bag; the choice is yours!

I used DK yarn and a 3.5mm hook which gave me a 9cm wide square (3 and a half inches)

The pattern is worked in the round; first creating the circle, then turning it into a square to be used as a block.
