Smock Madness
This pattern was originally a part of Sock Madness 13.
One of my favorite aspects of participating in Sock Madness each year is learning new techniques. This year, I decided to challenge myself by designing a pattern using a new-to-me technique: smocking. Naturally, I had to force this new knowledge onto all Sock Madness participants as well. The smocking in this pattern takes a simple ribbed sock and makes it nice and fancy.
This pattern is worked cuff-down and has a heel-flap and gusset. It is charted.
