My chairs were leaving icky gray marks on my kitchen tile. I tried stick-on felt circles, but when those came off, they left adhesive streaks that looked even worse. Commercial chair socks and plastic protectors worked better, but they weren’t that much fun, so I decided to make my own “booties.” These chair booties are made in a hemp yarn as hemp is known for its durability. Because hemp is not especially elastic, these booties are tall to help them stay in place.

Another use for the booties is for the front legs of a walker.  Often tennis balls are placed on the front legs to make the walker slide more easily.  These booties are definitely more fun!
