We all scream for S’more ice cream! I took the colors and shapes of one of my favorite ice cream flavors (Ben & Jerry’s-Gimme S’more) and translated them into a wearable design. These mittens embody everything beautiful about our favorite campfire treat: melty chocolate, graham cracker squares (and crumbs) and stretchy-gooey-ribbing (er - that is, marshmallow). They’re almost good enough to eat! But, honestly, it’s probably better if you just wear them and keep your hands happy and warm.

Finished Size
7 (8, 9.25, 10.25) ”17.5 (20, 23.5, 25.5) cm hand circumference and 10.5 (11.5, 12.75, 13.75)” 26 (29, 32, 34.5) cm in total length (including cuff).

Needles
Size 0 (2.0 mm): double point needles (dpn) - Or other needles preferred for small circumference knitting.

Notions
Markers (m); tapestry needle.

Yarn
Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply Toes (100% Superwash Merino; 133 yds 121 m/1.3 oz 38 g): Milk Chocolate (A), Dark Chocolate (B), Popsicle Stick (C); 1 ‘toe’ skein each.

Gauge
36 sts & 40 rows = 4” (10 cm) in charted stockinette colorwork.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

Notes
These mittens are worked from the cuff up, incorporating a traditional thumb gusset. The hand is finished after separating the thumb stitches. Thumb stitches are then put back on the needles and worked to completion.

This design uses 3 colors but can be easily worked with only 2 colors by eliminating the contrasting cuff.
