Smush is a two-color sport weight beanie with the most scrumptious, squishiest brim. The double-layered brim is knit with eye-catching two-color brioche on the outside and lined with single-color ribbing.

I find that brioche tends to get stretched out throughout the day, but the inner layer of ribbing provides the elasticity that keeps Smush fitting well all day long. Plus, the double-thick brim is doubly warm!

355 yd (325 m) / 100 g of sport weight yarn in a main color.
36 yd (33 m) / 10 g of sport weight yarn in a contrast color.

Smaller sizes will use less.

US 2 / 2.5 mm 16 in / 40 cm circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge); US 2 / 2.5 mm set of DPNs, or a circular needle long enough for magic loop (for the crown);

US 1 / 2.25 mm 16 in / 40 cm circular needles, or one size smaller than needles used to obtain gauge (for the brim).
