This fun-looking scarf is knit in variegated sock yarn, but it would look equally good in any solid yarn, too, because the texture itself is interesting enough. For people with more conservative taste, this scarf can be worked without the snake’s head, and the length of this scarf can be altered to meet anyone’s needs.
As the scarf is worked in garter stitch and you only have to remember to bind off and increase stitches on every row for the most of the scarf, it is overall an easy and relaxing knit.

Finished measurements: length approx 67” / 170cm and width 5” / 13cm.

Gauge: 21 sts / 45 rows = 4” / 10cm over garter stitch (matching exact gauge is not essential).

Required skills: knit, knitted cast-on, k2tog, M1L, M1R, ssk, w&t.
