I am not a hat person but I have decided if I am going to design something, it needs to be unique in some way and this lucky little bucket hat has a secret… BUN HOLES! I figured if I was going to jump on the bandwagon and design a bucket hat, it couldn’t be a PLAIN ‘ole bucket hat… so here you go! My Sneaky Buns Bucket Hat!

For this hat you will need at least 175 Yards of Bulky Weight (5) Yarn (you will be holding your yarn double for this pattern & the yardage listed accounts for this).
I used Hobbii Ribbon Yarn for my hat! If you prefer to use a super bulky yarn (6) and hold it single stranded you can cut the yardage listed above in half! I have also included a list of alternative and recommended options for good yarn to use for this project at the end of the pattern for you to use if you need some ideas!

You will also use a 12mm hook (my gauge = 7-8 HDC stitches x 6 HDC rows for a 4”x4” square) so you may need to adjust your hook size as needed!
