Snowdon
Snowdon is an asymmetric triangle shaped shawl which knits up quickly in aran / worsted weight yarn.
The name was inspired by my recent trip to Snowdonia during which I climbed Snowdon.
Maybe it was just because it was fresh in my memory but when I laid out the finished shawl to measure it I was reminded of the shape of the summit of Snowdon looming large as I hiked towards it.
Your shawl will be cosy and snuggly in aran weight yarn but could easily knit in any weight by adjusting the number of pattern repeats until the size is right for you.
So, if you really need a light, cotton, 4 ply shawl to keep the chill off on a summer evening this could still be the one for you!
Gauge isn’t important for this design but do bear in mind that knitting style and needle size may alter the quantity of yarn required to complete your project.
Happy knitting ♥
