This entertaining and warm hat is worked in two layers. First the lining is worked from the top down, the brim is formed and joined, and lastly the exterior lace is worked from the bottom up.

There are an assortment of brim treatments that can be chosen, including a bumped ridge, garter ridge, and Latvian braid…. Or any combination thereof.

The pattern is written in two different gauges and sizes, laceweight size small laceweight size medium, and sport weight size medium.

Requires 400 yards each of two colors for the Laceweight version (size US 2 and US3 circulars and dpns), and approximately 165 yards each of two colors for Sportweight version (size US 5 circulars and dpns).
