The Snowy Pines Shawl Knitting pattern is worked with 2 colors of dk weight yarn in a 2 color brioche stitch pattern. It uses basic brioche knitting, plus basic increases (2st and 4st). I made video tutorials to accompany this pattern for each of the brioche techniques. It only involves 4 different rows which makes it very easy and mindless to knit once you’ve got those basics down. This wrap is a mixture of a triangle shape and a diamond shape. It comes to a point at both the CO and BO edges which makes it extra cozy to wear. I often times wear this stole folded in half to make an extra cozy blanket scarf.

DETAILS (written in English & US knitting terms)
Pattern Type: Knitting
Level: Intermediate - Brioche knitting

NEEDLES
• US Size 6 (4.0 mm) circular needles (at least 24” long)

YARN
DK (Light #3) weight yarn in 2 colors
• Color A (light color): 515 yards (471m)
• Color B (dark color): 530 yards (485m)
Each uses just under 2 skeins of Featherfin Cashmerino Yarn (which I can highly recommend - It’s the softest yarn - find a kit here)

SIZING
• 88.5” {225 cm} Wingspan by 22.75” {58 cm} Tall
Wet blocking is very important to get the right shape.

Gauge
Worked in 2 color brioche flat (after blocking)
• 13.5 sts / 29 rows = 4”

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1.) Blocking is heavily important to get the right shape, it will turn out really wonky if you don’t match the blocked gauge and block your final piece.
2.) This is not a normal triangle shape, it come to a bit of a point at both the CO and BO edges.
