Infant’s legs are inserted first, baby can then be strapped into seat (or placed in grandma’s arms) where swaddle wings fold over and are fastened with buttons or toggles. *Gauge note: Some knitters have had trouble getting my row gauge and thus are concerned about the total length. Here is an easy fix. Cast on more stitches than the pattern calls for on each wing (right before you begin the short rows). Add 4 sts to the RS CO for every 2 sts on the WS CO. This will not require any other adjustments to the pattern aside from working fewer total increase rows, just work until you get the right total stitch count.
