Sock Monkey Ear Flap Hats for the Whole Family
Please note: The yarn used for this hat is listed as Aran only because that’s what has been listed as by the manufacturer. I think is is much more of a light worsted weight yarn, definitely thinner than your typical “red heart super saver worsted” that most people (at least in the United States) would be familiar with.
I published a new version of this pattern on October 25, 2011. So if you are coming back to this page after marking it a while ago, don’t be confused. You’re in the right spot! If you are a customer who purchased the original version of my sock monkey pattern prior to October 26, 2011, you can message me through Etsy to request a free version of the new & improved version of this pattern. Make sure you include your e-mail address in your Etsy message because I can not send pdf files through the Etsy messaging system.
Improvements to the original pattern include two adult/teen sizes and five video links to help you through parts that other knitters have prompted other knitters to contact me with questions. Other changes from the original include a minor edit on the muzzle so it isn’t quite as prominent and use of a yarn with more stretch and a different gauge.
