Socks on 5 Needles
Please join us in our Ravelry group Polka Dot Sheep Publications for questions, comments, or to show off your finished socks.
This basic sock pattern is one we use again and again in our shoppe for teaching socks. Though the pattern is written for using 5 double point needles, it’s easy to adapt for using two-circular, magic loop, or one 8” circular needle.
The instructions are written line-by-line through the heel flap making it quite easy to follow.
The best feature of this pattern is an “about socks” section that describes in 4 easy steps how to adjust the size of any traditional gusseted sock. Once you read this section, you’ll be making socks for newborns, toddlers, and men with really large feet using only this pattern.
Prefer working with magic loop? Check out our Tenderfoot Socks pattern.
