This dainty shawl gently mixes up various techniques to create an elegant and playful accessory that will keep your neck and shoulders warm when a soft summer breeze is around. The body of the shawl is worked in garter stitch, with a variegated colorway (or not!), and it fades to the second – tonal or solid – colorway that is used to work the border. The lacy border features a pattern that looks like butterflies, and an open-work pattern that grows at every row, to create a frilly edge.

Construction
This triangular shawl is worked from the top down, growing by increasing at each edge and around the middle stitch. It is worked in garter stitch with the first color, then it fades to the second color by working stripes in the garter stitch section. The border is worked with the second color, working the butterfly pattern first, followed by the growing eyelet pattern.

Any laceweight to DK weight yarn can be used for this pattern. Gauge, yardage, and final size will vary. The shawl can also be made with only one color.

Ce joli châle est fait en utilisant plusieurs techniques qui permettent de créer un accessoire élégant, qui saura garder votre cou et vos épaules au chaud lorsqu’il y a une douce brise. Le corps du châle est tricoté en point mousse, avec une laine multicolore (ou non !), qui dégrade vers la seconde couleur (unie ou tonale). Celle-ci est utilisée pour tricoter la bordure en dentelle, faite d’un motif ressemblant à des papillons et un motif ajouré qui élargit à chaque rang afin de créer des petits froufrous.

Construction : ce châle triangulaire est tricoté de haut en bas. Il grandit en augmentant le long des bords et autour de la maille centrale. Il est travaillé en point mousse avec la première couleur, qui dégrade vers la seconde à la fin de cette section. La bordure est tricotée avec la deuxième couleur, avec un motif de papillons, puis un point ajouré qui élargit jusqu’à la fin du châle.
