Soft Hat
by Emily Devlin
I was inspired by the shape and color of a hard hat, and challenged myself to design a stylish version of one. Although it won’t keep you safe at a construction site, it will certainly keep you warm!
This hat is knit in the round to the crown. Decreases are then worked in four places, and remaining stitches are grafted with Kitchener stitch at the top.
To make a smaller or larger size, add or take away stitches in multiples of four, and make sure the stockinette stitch “ribs” are still evenly distributed. Length can be added by working more rounds before starting the decreases.
